An independent magazine for people who think seriously about where, and how, they want to live, from the perfect coastal house to a villa abroad and the slow art of settling somewhere new.
The Vantage Address began with a simple observation: that the conversation around beautiful homes and holidays abroad was too often reduced to glossy photographs and price tags, when the things that actually matter, light, craftsmanship, privacy, the texture of daily life, rarely got a proper hearing. We set out to fill that gap with writing that takes the subject seriously without taking itself too seriously, and that respects readers enough to be honest about the practical realities as well as the romance.
Our coverage runs across four areas. In Dream Homes we look at the architecture and interiors of exceptional houses. In Holiday Villas we explore the private-rental world that has quietly transformed the luxury holiday. In Buying Abroad we tackle the unglamorous but essential business of purchasing property overseas. And in Living Well we turn to the human side of it all, the rhythms, rituals, and small adjustments of a life lived partly or wholly somewhere else.
Much of our writing comes from our editor, Marianne Holt, who has spent years reporting on property, design, and the experience of living abroad, and who brings a clear, sceptical, but warm eye to every piece. We are independent, we are not in the business of selling property, and our only loyalty is to readers making some of the most considered decisions of their lives.
We always welcome a note from readers, whether it's a question, a correction, or simply a tip about a place we ought to be writing about. You can reach us any time at [email protected], and we read every message that comes in.
